A pencil sketch of Davy Jones from the Pirates trilogy. I absolutely adore this character - there's so much to like about him, not the least his amazing design and Bill Nighy's unique and lively portrayal of him. Jones just has so many layers and so much history that, much like Barbossa, he can neither be cast as hero or villain. An absolute gem of a character!

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. I adored him in PotC3 - the trauma and despair in his face sometimes was heart-breaking. I just really love him as a character - there are so many different facets to his soul. He's fascinating, and great fun to draw.
