Artist's Comments

Another picture in memory of the late Tony Jay, who passed away recently. This is a sketch of Claude Frollo, the religiously-pious judge and minister from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, to whom Jay gave his voice. Determined to rid the world of "vice and sin", Frollo failed to see the corruption within his own heart, and is perhaps one of the few Disney "villains" who doesn't actually realise that he *is* a villain. Driven to madness by his desire for the gypsy, Esmeralda, Frollo in the end brings about his own demise and is a truly tragic figure, and I believe one of the most fascinating in the Disney catalogue. (He also gets to sing what I think is one of the best Disney-villain songs ever! :nod: Gotta love "Hellfire".)

It was great to see a movie with Tony Jay playing one of the main characters. :D I kept imagining him as Megabyte the first time I saw it, though. :giggle:

Yeah, same here! Everyone who's ever watched ReBoot probably went away, after seeing HoND, with images of Megabyte singing in their heads! ;) LOL. I certainly did.
